Periodontal probing depth (PPD)

Periodontal probing depth (PPD) is measured from the gingival margin to the base/bottom (coronal portion of the junctional epithelium (JE) of the periodontal pocket to the nearest mm. It cannot be a negative number (-) or 0mm.
